Engineering Distinctions

To effectively service our clients, PMH Associates maintains licensing in multiple jurisdictions in several engineering disciplines and maintains prequalifications for Government Agencies as required.

We have distinguished ourselves as a client oriented provider of quality engineering services. To best serve our clients we maintain registrations and licensure in several states and prequalification with various state and federal agencies. With each state licensed engineer the engineer maintains national registration with the NCEES. The following is a constantly expanding list of the state licenses and prequalification we maintain:

The Team

Peter M. Honeyford, P.E., Principal Engineer

Since 1980, Peter has been involved with and gained valuable experience in the engineering and construction industry. Since 1994, he has been a principal at PMH Associates, Inc. and its one its predecessors, PMH Engineering, PC. This experience has been in all phases of the design and engineering process and has been focused in the HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical disciplines. Peter is currently the principal in charge of the Mechanical and Electrical design group at PMH. Peter’s career has involved construction project management at design/build companies, municipal and federal government waste water and solid waste facilities projects and included responsibilities for: scheduling, completion (dead line) responsibilities, estimating, budget and financial responsibilities, negotiating and purchasing sub-contracts and mechanical equipment, field and office coordination, and when needed field supervision and mechanical engineering. His range of project types include: commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and biotechnical, educational, institutional and residential facilities, both new and retrofit. This background has extended through much of the construction process; from conceptual design and cost estimating, through design development, detailed engineering and design, bidding, purchasing, scheduling, construction project management to field supervision.

Peter is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the following states, districts and territories: New Jersey, 1988; AL, AZ, AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, PR (pending), RI, SC, SD (pending), TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY, National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying Registration and a member of ASHRAE, NSPE and NFPA

Thomas C. Evans, Managing Principal

Tom has extensive experience in the design and construction of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Energy Management Systems. Over twenty years have been as a principal of mechanical and electrical engineering firms. During this time he has been heavily involved in both the design and construction stages of HVAC, mechanical, electrical and industrial refrigeration systems and equipment. Accomplishments and experience include designing medical laboratory and testing facilities for the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in South America to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS, industrial production and process design and management. He continues to provide energy savings ideas to all our clients along with his artistic and functional approach to lighting, power HVAC and production systems.

Tom is a member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association and the Illumination Engineers Society.

Harry F. Carson, P.E., Principal Engineer

Harry has been engaged in the field of electrical engineering and construction for over 15 years. He provides unique perspectives in the design, engineering and implementation of electrical systems through his experience as a contractor, installing systems, and through his education and advancement in the industry, in the engineering of systems. He approaches client needs with a practical perspective to enhance the functionality of the clients’ facility and ease of construction. His field experience includes most aspects of residential, commercial and industrial electrical construction.

In addition to the construction fields, Harry has also been an automation and motor control technician. This aspect of the electrical engineering field has enabled him to provide exposure in diverse fields working in the graphic arts, corrugated paper and chemical industries installing, servicing and maintaining production facilities and equipment. He has traveled internationally to design, install and commission prototype machinery for equipment manufacturers. Harry is a Licensed Professional Engineer registered in 9 states, a licensed New Jersey Electrical Inspector and a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors.

Todd Allen, Principal Designer

Todd has several years experience in a variety of fields relating to engineering and possesses a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration. He has practical knowledge having worked from Cad drafter to project coordinator. Todd supervises and manages a wide variety of engineering projects ranging from large retail stores to multi-story residential buildings. He specializes in mechanical and plumbing design, and has experience designing electrical, fire protection, and fire alarm systems. Todd is also responsible for training new drafter/designers and is proficient in AutoCad, Carrier HAP, as well as many other MEP software design programs.

Energy Rebates and Tax Savings:

All jurisdictions and utilities have energy conservation requirements to reduce energy consumption and lower the cost of operation. Utilities offer rebates to help reduce the demand side loading on the utility infrastructure and help avoid building new generation facilities. There are also generous federal tax deductions available for energy conservation and alternative energy production, such as, solar, geothermal or wind. PMH Associates provides the computer energy modeling necessary for filing for rebates and tax incentives and can place your company on the right path to gain the most from these incentives.
